How to find a top Akeneo partner

To find a top Akeneo partner, start with Akeneo’s own solution partner directory, which shows each partner’s rank and the Akeneo certifications its people hold. Then check the evidence behind the rank: certifications on the proposed team, Akeneo projects like yours, references in your industry, experience connecting Akeneo to your ERP and eCommerce platforms, and a clear plan for supporting Akeneo after launch.

Our position, stated up front. Sitation has been a Certified Gold Akeneo Partner since 2021, and Akeneo has recognized our client work with awards at its Unlock conference. This guide gives the criteria we would want any buyer to apply, including to us.

What Akeneo’s partner ranks mean

Akeneo works with solution partners: consultancies and agencies that implement Akeneo PIM, connect it to other systems and support it after launch. Software companies whose products extend Akeneo are listed separately as technology partners. This guide is about solution partners, the firms that deliver your project.

Akeneo’s solution partner directory ranks each partner as Registered, Silver, Gold or Diamond. Diamond is the highest rank and Gold is the second highest. In September 2026 the directory listed 140 solution partners, and 19 of them held Gold or Diamond.

Akeneo’s solution partner page explains how partners move up: they earn points for projects, contributions to the Akeneo community and marketing activity, and a higher score brings more visibility and recognition. Akeneo also gives solution partners access to its training and certifications.

Akeneo does not publish the points needed for each rank, so treat a rank as a sign of the partner’s activity and standing with Akeneo, then check the evidence that relates to your project.

Akeneo certifications to look for

The directory can be filtered by seven Akeneo certifications: PXM Advisor, Implementation Fundamentals, Implementation Specialist, Technical Integration Fundamentals, Technical Integration Specialist, SDM Fundamentals and SDM Specialist. Each partner’s listing shows the certifications its people hold.

Match certifications to the roles on your project. The people who design and configure your PIM should hold implementation certifications, and the people who connect Akeneo to your ERP, eCommerce and other systems should hold technical integration certifications.

A buyer’s checklist for Akeneo partners

  1. Rank. Confirm the partner’s current rank in Akeneo’s directory, not only on the partner’s own website.
  2. Certifications. Ask which people on your proposed team hold Akeneo certifications, and which ones.
  3. Comparable projects. Ask how many Akeneo projects the partner has delivered for catalogs like yours: similar product types, variants and attribute depth.
  4. Industry references. Speak to two or three customers in your industry who are live on Akeneo.
  5. Integrations. Check experience connecting Akeneo to your ERP, eCommerce platform, DAM and channels.
  6. Managed support. Ask who runs Akeneo after launch: your team, the partner through managed services, or a mix.
  7. Team continuity. Ask who will stay on the account after go-live, and how knowledge is kept when people change.

Questions to ask an Akeneo partner

  • Which of the people proposed for our project hold Akeneo certifications, and which ones?
  • How many Akeneo implementations have you delivered, and how many of those customers do you still support?
  • Which customers with a catalog like ours can we speak to?
  • How would you model our products, families and variants in Akeneo, and can you show an example?
  • How do you connect Akeneo to ERP, DAM and eCommerce systems, and who maintains those connections?
  • What happens after launch: who handles administration, enhancements and new channels?
  • Who stays on our account after go-live?

Good answers are specific. A partner should be able to name the people, describe comparable projects and put you in touch with customers.

How to verify a partner’s claims

  • Check the rank in Akeneo’s directory. Search for the partner in the solution partner directory and compare the rank shown there with the one on the partner’s website.
  • Ask for certification evidence. Ask which named team members hold which Akeneo certifications, and compare the answer with the certifications shown in the directory.
  • Check awards at the source. Akeneo publishes its award winners, for example the 2026 PX Champions Awards. Check that the customer and partner named there match the claim.
  • Speak to references yourself. Ask them how the partner handled data modeling, integrations, issues after launch and changes to the team.
  • Look for published results. Case studies that name the customer and describe the Akeneo work are easier to check than general claims.
Five-step diagram: how to verify an Akeneo partner. 1, directory rank: check the rank in Akeneo's solution partner directory, not only on the partner's website. 2, certifications: ask which named people on your team hold which Akeneo certifications, and compare with the directory. 3, awards: find the award in Akeneo's own announcement, with the customer and partner named. 4, references: speak to two or three customers with a catalog like yours, yourself. 5, decision: choose on the evidence you checked, and agree who runs Akeneo after launch.
Start with the rank in Akeneo’s directory, then check the evidence behind it before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

Who are the top Akeneo partners?

Akeneo’s solution partner directory ranks partners as Registered, Silver, Gold or Diamond. Diamond is the highest rank and Gold is the second highest. The directory lists solution partners with their current rank and certifications, so it is the place to check which partners hold the top ranks.

How do you choose the best Akeneo partner?

Start with the partner’s rank in Akeneo’s directory, then look at the evidence behind it: Akeneo certifications on the proposed team, projects like yours, references you can speak to, experience with your ERP and eCommerce platforms, and a plan for support after launch. The best partner for you is the one whose evidence matches your project.

Does a higher rank guarantee a better Akeneo implementation?

No. A rank reflects the partner’s activity and standing with Akeneo. Your project depends on the people assigned to it, their certifications and their experience with catalogs and systems like yours, so check those as well.

Should the same partner implement and support Akeneo?

It often helps, because the team that built your data model and integrations already knows how they work. Decide early whether you want managed services after launch, since that affects how the work is documented and handed over.
