As Sitation celebrates another record year of growth, I was struck by a thought this morning: this year, more so than ever, millions of customers, and billions of dollars of their holiday spending, were touched directly or indirectly by the work we do at Sitation.
To me, that’s incredibly exciting. Of course much of what we do is invisible to the consumer, but the work we do building, enhancing, storing, and syndicating product content – to D2C, retail, and distributor websites, on Amazon, eBay, and countless other marketplaces, and in some cases, on store shelves or even directly on product packaging – plays a bigger and bigger role in how people shop.
Perhaps the most exciting part of our growth this year is the huge number of household names we now work with, as clients, partners, platforms, and channels, including:
- Some of the hottest and most influential software platforms in the e-commerce business
- Manufacturers, from startups to global conglomerates, selling their products around the world
- Everyday brands that millions of us have in our homes, offices, or carry on our person in every category you can possibly imagine, from apparel to electronics to healthcare to toys and everything in between
- Regional, national, and global retailers, distributors, and marketplaces where the world does its most important shopping.
It brings purpose to our work, and fills me with a sense of both electric excitement and weighty responsibility that today, more than ever, we play a small but important role in how hundreds of businesses and millions of customers buy and sell products.
